Das Ensemble führt Franz Schuberts Oktett in F-Dur für Klarinette, Horn, Fagott und Streicher auf. Schubert lehnte sich in Besetzung und Form stark an das gemischte Septett seines großen Vorbildes Ludwig van Beethoven an, er fügte eine zweite Geige hinzu und vertauschte in der Reihenfolge der 6 Sätze nur Scherzo und Menuett. Mit diesem Werk sprengte er die Grenzen der Kammermusik und sah es als eine Art sinfonische Studie an. Das Ensemble ‚Oktophon‘ besteht aus Mitgliedern der Marburger Philharmonie und Lehrkräften der Musikschule. Es spielen: Helena Ko, 1. Violine; Betina Voit, 2. Violine; Georg Simet, Viola; Wolfgang Voit, Violoncello; Michael Distelmann, Kontrabass; Christian Kienel, Klarinette; Birgit Götz, Horn und Heike Sonneborn, Fagott. Der Eintritt ist frei, Spenden werden gerne entgegengenommen.
The ensemble performs Franz Schubert's Octet in F major for clarinet, horn, bassoon, and strings. Schubert was heavily inspired by the instrumentation and form of the mixed septet of his great role model Ludwig van Beethoven; he added a second violin and only swapped the scherzo and minuet in the order of the 6 movements. With this work, he broke the boundaries of chamber music and regarded it as a kind of symphonic study. The ensemble 'Oktophon' consists of members of the Marburg Philharmonic and teachers from the music school. The performers are: Helena Ko, 1st violin; Betina Voit, 2nd violin; Georg Simet, viola; Wolfgang Voit, cello; Michael Distelmann, double bass; Christian Kienel, clarinet; Birgit Götz, horn, and Heike Sonneborn, bassoon.
