Grenzgangstag Frühstücksplatz Gespaltener Stein Streckenlänge der Grenze = 10.734m Marschlänge Tag 1 = 16.303m Steigung = 612m Gefälle = 634m Mit dem Marsch der längsten Strecke zum Frühstücksplatz „Gespaltener Stein“ erfährt das Grenzgangsfest am Samstag seinen eigentlichen Höhepunkt, denn neben dem Bewältigen der längsten und zugleich anspruchsvollsten aller Tagesstrecken zieht es an diesem Tag die mit Abstand größte Gästezahl auf den Markplatz sowie in „insen Waald“. Auch kann das ausrichtende Komitee besonders an diesem Morgen viele befreundete Grenzgänger aus den Nachbarorten Buchenau, Münchhausen, Goßfelden, Wetter sowie Wollmar empfangen. Gemeinsam werden an den drei Grenzgangstagen die 275 Grenzsteine kontrolliert und zugleich ob ihrer Vergangenheit symbolisch geehrt. 06.00 UHR Böllerschießen vom Schlossberg Weckruf durch die Musikkapelle. 06.30 UHR Aufstellung des Festzuges auf dem Marktplatz. 07.00 UHR Abmarsch zur Grenzbegehung durch die Hainstraße zur Ludwigshütte Begehung der Grenze auf der rechten Lahnseite. 09.30 UHR Frühstück am gespaltenen Stein. 12.00 UHR Fortsetzung der Grenzbegehung. Beim letzten Grenzstein an der Erlenmühle: Ansprache des Bürgeroberst. Anschließend Marsch zurück in die Stadt. 17.00 UHR Festzug zur Oberen Bleiche Volksfest und Tanz. 23.00 UHR Großfeuerwerk
3rd Boundary Walk Day Breakfast place Split Stone Length of the boundary = 10,734m March length Day 1 = 16,303m Ascent = 612m Descent = 634m The march covering the longest distance to the breakfast place “Split Stone” represents the true highlight of the Boundary Walk Festival on Saturday, as besides conquering the longest and most challenging of all daily routes, it attracts by far the largest number of guests to the marketplace as well as to “insen Waald”. The organizing committee can also expect many friendly border walkers from the neighboring villages of Buchenau, Münchhausen, Goßfelden, Wetter, and Wollmar on this morning. Together, the 275 boundary stones will be checked and symbolically honored for their past over the three Boundary Walk days. 6:00 A.M.
