A new year and once again a hope: under this motto, Dagmar Dümchen visits her old home in 2026 and brings with her both cheerful and reflective melodies from Bolivian and South American song heritage. As long as her mother is still alive, her birth month is the best opportunity to reconnect with fans. And since the flight costs over a distance of 12,000 km have not decreased, Dümchen takes the opportunity to give concerts and bolster her travel fund. The singer and songwriter, born in Heidelberg and raised in Bolivia, sings songs from all over Bolivia and parts of South America, rounding them off with stories and descriptions, songs with socio-critical backgrounds and local folklore that speak of the everyday lives of the people there. Dagmar Dümchen spent essential years of her childhood in La Paz due to her father's work. The family then moved to the Markgräflerland region, where Gerhard Dümchen worked as a pastor for many years. However, she inevitably felt a belonging to Bolivia until she decided to emigrate there permanently in 2005. In Germany, several support bases are nevertheless secured: her mother, siblings, daughters, and many friends. As a result, contact with her birthplace does not cease.

Solange ihre Mutter noch lebt ist deren Geburtsmonat die beste Möglichkeit, auch mit den Fans anzuknüpfen. Und da die Flugkosten für 12.000 km Entfernung nicht geringer geworden sind, nutzt Dümchen die Gelegenheit, um Konzerte zu geben und die Reisekasse aufzupolstern. Die in Heidelberg geborene und in Bolivien aufgewachsene Sängerin und Liedermacherin singt Lieder aus ganz Bolivien und Teilen Südamerikas und rundet sie mit Erzählungen und Beschreibungen ab, Lieder mit sozialkritischem Hintergrund und landesübliche Folklore, die vom Alltag der Menschen dort spricht. Dagmar Dümchen erlebte durch die Arbeit ihres Vaters wesentliche Jahre ihrer Kindheit in La Paz. Danach zog die Familie ins Markgräflerland um, wo Gerhard Dümchen lange Jahre als Pfarrer tätig war. Doch sie fühlte sich unweigerlich Bolivien zugehörig, bis sie 2005 beschloss, endgültig dorthin auszuwandern. In Deutschland sind trotzdem mehrere Stützpunkte gesichert: ihre Mutter, Geschwister, Töchter und viele Freunde. Dadurch bricht der Kontakt zur Geburtsheimat nicht ab.
