Balduinstein railway station is a small architectural gem along the Lahn Valley Railway. The late-Classical station building was constructed to plans by the Diez-based architect Heinrich Velde (1827–1905), who left his mark on numerous buildings in the Lahn Valley. This impressive building was commissioned by Archduke Stephan Viktor, the owner of the nearby Schaumburg Castle, to provide a grand welcome for his guests from across Europe. Balduinstein railway station is an ideal starting point for walks and excursions in the Lahn Valley. The Lahn Walking Trail is easily accessible from here and winds its way through a charming low-mountain landscape shaped in equal measure by nature and history. Routes such as the Küppeltour or the Schaumburgschleife are also wonderful walks to set out on from here, offering a striking combination of natural beauty and historical sites. Trains on the Lahntalbahn run hourly, and more frequently during peak times. Der Bahnhof Balduinstein ist ein kleines architektonisches Juwel entlang der Lahntalbahn. Der Bahnhof in Balduinstein ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge im Lahntal. Der Lahnwanderweg ist von hier aus gut erreichbar und führt durch eine reizvolle Mittelgebirgslandschaft, die von Natur und Geschichte gleichermaßen geprägt ist. Auch Touren wie die Küppeltour oder die Schaumburgschleife lassen sich von hier aus wunderbar erwandern und verbinden eindrucksvoll Naturerlebnis und historische Spuren. Die Züge der Lahntalbahn verkehren im Stundentakt, in den Hauptverkehrszeiten auch häufiger.
