Die alte Pfarrkirche in Nassau, ein neugotischer Bau aus dem Jahre 1875, erwies sich in den Jahren nach dem 2. Weltkrieg immer mehr als viel zu klein. So beschloss man den Bau einer neuen Pfarrkirche. Grundsteinlegung am 20.08.1961. In den Monaten vorher wurde die alte Kirche abgerissen. Der Architekt Dr. Ulrich Craemer aus Trier hatte für den Neubau ein eigenwilliges Konzept entworfen: Das Gotteshaus sollte ein schützendes Zeltdach über allen Besuchern, Betenden und Feiernden darstellen. Am 28.10.1962 konnte der erste Gottesdienst in dem Neubau gefeiert werden. Die Weihe erfolgte dann feierlich am 12. Juni 1966 durch Weihbischof Dr. Walter Kampe aus Limburg. St. Bonifatius Nassau blieb Pfarrkirche bis zum 31.12.2012, bis zur Errichtung der Pfarrei neuen Typs Bad Ems-Nassau.
The old parish church in Nassau, a neo-Gothic building from the year 1875, proved to be increasingly too small in the years after World War II. Thus, the decision was made to construct a new parish church. The foundation stone was laid on 20.08.1961. In the months prior, the old church was demolished. The architect Dr. Ulrich Craemer from Trier had designed an unconventional concept for the new building: the house of worship was to represent a protective tent roof over all visitors, worshippers, and celebrants. On 28.10.1962, the first service could be celebrated in the new building. The consecration then took place ceremoniously on 12. June 1966 by Auxiliary Bishop Dr. Walter Kampe from Limburg. St. Bonifatius Nassau remained the parish church until 31.12.2012, until the establishment of the new type parish Bad Ems-Nassau.
