Die Spessartspur "Wildromantische Hirschbornteiche" ist ein wunderschöner Spazierwanderweg durch beieindruckende Wälder des Naturparks Hessischer Spessart. Der Rundwanderweg entlang der Talhänge des Klingbachtals führt größtenteils durch uralte, reine Laubwälder, die seit 1997 Teil des Naturwaldreservats “Alsberger Hang” sind. Das Nebeneinander von Hainsimsen- und Waldmeister-Buchenwäldern sowie die Bestände an alten, knorrigen Traubeneichen sind Kinderstube und Lebensraum für Fledermäuse, seltene Vögel und andere wildlebende Tiere. Genießen und respektieren Sie mit ihnen die Ruhe in diesem wunderschönen Waldgebiet. Die Tour startet entlang der romantisch gelegenen Hirschbornteiche, bevor es stetig bergauf hinauf bis auf 320 Meter Höhe durch alten Eiche- und Buchenwald geht. Das Naturschutzgebiet Waldweiher in den Auen des Klingbachtals wird über einen früheren Küppeldamm durchquert. Hinter der Mühlwiese, einer großen Waldlichtung, führen teils traumhafte Pfade durch urwüchsigen Naturwald zurück zum Wanderparkplatz an den Hirschbornteichen. Navigation zum Parkplatz an der Landesstraße zwischen den Stadtteilen Salmünster und Mernes der Stadt Bad Soden-Salmünster.
