It often has to do with wandering, love, nature, posthorn, moon, and little flowers. But romantic art can also be pitch black, meaning world escape, despair, and icy cold – this is also represented in the work of the most famous German romantic: Joseph von Eichendorff. Michael Reuter has set his poems – including the cycle “The Lovesick Traveler” – to the sound worlds of songs from Franz Schubert to Richard Strauss. Supplemented with texts from Eichendorff's novel “From the Life of a Good-for-Nothing,” Annette Müller (soprano) and the composer offer a touching, diverse, radiant glimpse deep into the romantic heart – which will always remain modern. Ein Konzert-Abend von und mit mülleRReuter Kompositionen und Klavier: Michael Reuter Gesang: Annette Müller Viel Romantisches wird über die Musik gesagt. Oft hat es mit Wandern, Liebe, Natur, Posthorn, Mond und Blümelein zu tun. Doch romantische Kunst kann auch rabenschwarz sein, kann Weltflucht, Verzweiflung und Eiseskälte bedeuten – auch dies ist vertreten im Werk des bekanntesten deutschen Romantikers: Joseph von Eichendorff. Michael Reuter hat seine Gedichte – darunter den Zyklus „Der verliebte Reisende“ - in den Klangwelten der Lieder von Franz Schubert bis Richard Strauß neu vertont. Mit Texten aus Eichendorffs Roman „Aus dem Leben eines Taugenichts“ ergänzt, bieten Annette Müller (Sopran) und der Komponist einen anrührenden, vielfältigen, strahlenden Blick tief ins romantische Herz – welches ja immer modern bleiben wird.
