Die Altstädter- und Neustädter-, aber auch die St. Godehards-Kirche, das Kanonissen-Stift auf dem Schulberg und das Augustiner-Kloster mitten in der Stadt zeugen auch heute noch von dem Einfluss, den die Kirche auf das Leben der Bürger in Eschwege - spätestens ab dem Mittelalter- genommen hat. Bei unserem Rundgang von Kirche zu Kirche sehen Sie nicht nur die zwei wunderschönen Stadtkirchen und steigen in die Gruft der Marktkirche, sondern hören auch, wie die Stadt mit Hilfe der Kanonissen wachsen und gedeihen konnte, welchen Einfluss das Stift auf die Bürger und die Kanonissen selbst hatte und erfahren wie die Eschweger reformiert worden sind.
