CAMPING DIRECTLY ON THE LAHN – LAHNTOURS CAMPSITE RUNKEL The Lahntours Campsite is beautifully located directly on the Lahn River in the charming town of Runkel – nestled between the Westerwald and Taunus regions. The historic old towns of Limburg and Weilburg are just a stone's throw away and invite you to explore. Particularly noteworthy is the majestic Runkel Castle, which should not be missed during your stay. A true highlight of the site is the expansive Indian Tipi Village: Here, families or groups can stay in original tipis that accommodate up to six people – complete with real campfire atmosphere! Our firewood sale ensures a romantic evening by the fire at the numerous fire pits. The little guests are also well catered for: A large playground on the premises provides plenty of entertainment. MODERNIZED AMENITIES FOR MAXIMUM COMFORT During the winter months of 2016/2017, the campsite was extensively modernized. The sanitary facilities were completely renovated and restructured. Since then, you can expect modern showers and sinks with environmentally friendly hot water heating via gas boiler, a new washing-up kitchen, an accessible facility, and an optimized disposal station for camping toilets. The bistro also received new premises including a kitchen and storage area, in addition to the electrical system and the entire sewage system being renewed. CULINARY DELIGHTS & SELF-SUFFICIENCY Culinary enjoyment is provided by the Bistro “Amuni – Pasta, Pizza & Vino” offering authentic Italian cuisine. For those who prefer to self-cater, a well-stocked supermarket is just a two-minute walk away. For those who don't want to miss out on some comfort, we offer beer tent furniture and charcoal grills for rent – perfect for relaxed barbecue evenings right by the river. Seitdem erwarten Sie moderne Duschen und Waschbecken mit umweltfreundlicher Warmwasseraufbereitung über Gastherme, eine neue Spülküche, eine barrierefreie Einrichtung sowie eine optimierte Entsorgungsstation für Campingtoiletten. Auch das Bistro erhielt neue Räume samt Küche und Lager, zudem wurden das Stromsystem und die gesamte Kanalanlage erneuert.
