CENTER OF THE DISTRICT LIMBURG-WEILBURG BACKGROUND * Date of inauguration: May 25, 2024 * Occasion: 50 years of the merger of the districts of Limburg and Oberlahn * Location: Area of the Runkeler district Arfurt, at the height of Steimelskopf, directly on the Lahn hiking trail ORIGINS * Determined geographically and precisely at the end of 2023 by the Office for Land Management Limburg and their trainees. * The symbolic center (“Heaven's Window”) was designed and donated by students of the Friedrich-Dessauer School Limburg. THE “HEAVEN'S WINDOW” * An impressive wooden frame as a symbol for the center. * A popular excursion destination along the Lahn hiking trail. * Ideal for resting, relaxing, and reflecting.
MITTELPUNKT DES LANDKREISES LIMBURG-WEILBURG Hintergrund * Datum der Einweihung: 25. Mai 2024 * Anlass: 50 Jahre Zusammenschluss der Landkreise Limburg und Oberlahn * Ort: Gemarkung des Runkeler Stadtteils Arfurt, auf Höhe des Steimelskopfes, direkt am Lahnwanderweg Entstehung * Ende 2023 durch das Amt für Bodenmanagement Limburg und deren Auszubildende geografisch exakt ermittelt. * Symbolischer Mittelpunkt („Himmelsfenster“) wurde von Schülerinnen und Schülern der Friedrich-Dessauer-Schule Limburg entworfen und gestiftet.
