Musical enjoyment galore: Oper Frankfurt stages well-known operas as well as exciting new discoveries. For this, it is regularly named "Opera House of the Year". Opera Frankfurt is regarded as one of the most important music theatres in Europe, where numerous conductors and singers have launched their international careers, such as soprano Brenda Rae, who made her debut here in 2008. In addition to the great ensemble, the theatre's success is due above all to the mix that artistic director Bernd Loebe relies on: he includes well-known repertoire pieces by musical greats such as Verdi, Wagner and Mozart in the programme as well as new or forgotten pieces. Opera performances are currently staged in the so-called double theatre complex on Willy-Brandt-Platz, which is also home to the Frankfurt Schauspiel.

Die Oper Frankfurt gilt als eines der bedeutendsten Musiktheater Europas, in dem zahlreiche Dirigent*innen und Sänger*innen ihre Weltkarriere starteten, etwa die Sopranistin Brenda Rae, die hier 2008 debütierte. Neben dem großartigen Ensemble macht vor allem die Mischung, auf die Intendant Bernd Loebe setzt, den Erfolg des Hauses aus: bekannte Repertoirestücke von musikalischen Größen wie Verdi, Wagner oder Mozart setzt er ebenso ins Programm wie neue oder in Vergessenheit geratene Stücke. Aktuell werden die Opernvorstellungen in der sogenannten Theaterdoppelanlage am Willy-Brandt-Platz aufgeführt, in der auch das Frankfurter Schauspiel beheimatet ist.
