Man kann viel Zeit im Barrio verbringen und startet damit am besten gleich morgens. Frühstück und Brunch gibt es hier den ganzen Tag über, die Küche ist marokkanisch-mediterran. Entsprechend fließend sind die Grenzen zwischen leckeren Msemen-Pfannkuchen zum Frühstück und Veggie-Bowl oder Tajine zum Lunch. Alles lässt sich bestens kombinieren – und teilen.
Das Ambiente: lässig-gemütlich, die Kacheln am Tresen bringen Marrakesch-Vibes in den Raum, gemütliche Sessel machen Lust darauf, noch ein bisschen zu bleiben. Das Barrio, das auch zwei Filialen in Frankfurt hat, ist übrigens ein Familienprojekt. Die beiden Brüder Omar und Taril Loukili haben es zusammen eröffnet und nach einem Viertel ihrer marokkanischen Heimatstadt Tetouan benannt.

You can spend a lot of time at Barrio, and it’s best to start first thing in the morning. Breakfast and brunch are served here all day long, and the cuisine is Moroccan-Mediterranean. As a result, the lines are blurred between delicious msemen pancakes for breakfast and veggie bowls or tagines for lunch. Everything pairs perfectly—and is great for sharing.
The atmosphere is casual and cozy; the tiles at the counter bring a touch of Marrakech to the space, and the comfortable armchairs make you want to linger a little longer. By the way, Barrio—which also has two locations in Frankfurt—is a family project. The two brothers, Omar and Taril Loukili, opened it together and named it after a neighborhood in their Moroccan hometown of Tetouan.
