Grandma's cooking reloaded: this restaurant reinterprets Austrian and German classics in Offenbach's most beautiful square. The namesake Tafelspitz is on the menu in three variations - including "Offe'bacher" style with apple wine sauce. Handkäs is also available as a Hessian tapas to share, for example as Caprese with onion-balsamic sauce and fresh tomatoes or as "Roter Hesse" with beet. Salad and vegetables come directly from the weekly market on Wilhelmsplatz; when the weather is nice, you can sit outside just a few meters from the stalls.
Inside, the Tafelspitz & Söhne is friendly and modern: lots of wood, plenty of light and warm colors create a pleasant ambience. The service is courteous and the crowd is as diverse as the concept promises.
